Here is the head shot we used of Devon several months ago when he did his play reading at Metro Community. I am posting this here, today, as a testimony to what a cutie pie he is.
Tonight is the premier (Full dress, open house run) of The Bellevue Little Theatre production “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”. Devon has a small part - “Matt” - that has him on stage in the first scenes and in the final scenes. In between he is acting stage manager.
This is another of those “bit parts” that our son seems to fall into. He’ll have people call him and say “There’s a bit part open perfect for you. If you show up at rehearsal, it’s yours.” It’s happened more than once!
So, today I say to my son, “Break a leg, Dev! And, hey, how about TRYING OUT for a part, so you can be in the play every act??” ::tee hee hee::
Ah, the theatre!
