It’s Amazable!! (Hey, it’s not a real word, so who cares if it’s spelled right?!)

Well, Devon has done it again! Honestly, that boy could fall in a pile of U-know-what and still come out smelling sweet.

Devon fell into another bit part. Yep, his work at Bellevue Little Theatre was touted by Ms. Bette Swanson, the producer, and he picked up another role with Mark Manhart at Grand Ole Player Theatre. It was funny, because Devon was at GOP watching Crysta rehearse for her role in the play Homeschool Drama is putting on in December when he got the call about the part. Mark’s wife, Bonnie, called Devon and told him they needed male “soldiers” for their holiday production opening in November. Devon said he’d be interested, and voila!! another part.

But, now you need to hear the REST of the story. Devon was running some lines at rehearsal to cover an actor that had not shown up. Mark heard Devon run the lines and decided he’d do well at that part, so he re-cast him. The part? Oh, not much – just the male lead of the production.

Does running those lines count as an audition? I’m counting it as one, because that would make me right! I told him with an audition he could land a “real” part.

So, I get to be proud MoM again – I have two tripping the light fantastic in the theatre. I’m all smiles.

Have a wonderful day.
