Another Wrench in the BCS!
I can remember years ago – while living in Plano, Texas – hearing the oft stated question, “Who in the heck is Texas Tech?”
Well, Texas Tech is the newest wrench in the BCS championship standings. They just beat Oklahoma by one touchdown. Now, because of my devout loyality to Ohio State, I wanted Texas Tech to win. I needed them to win. I was just short of praying for them to win. God is apparently an Ohio State fan also because, even without my prayer, Tech won.
On the sad side, Oklahoma should have had an opportunity for OT. They made a touchdown with about 3:30 left in the game – HOWEVER – it was ruled an incomplete pass. And that ruling was upheld in review. But anyone watching the film (over and over) with the announcers could see that the ruling was wrong. It was definitely a touchdown. So, that touchdown 30 seconds prior to the end of the game should have brought them into overtime. Should have, could have, but didn’t.
In the end, Tech did what I needed them to do. For that, I say, “Thank You!!!” I just know that Lubbock is hopping right now! YEEHAW!!!!
