I am not a “die-hard” fan of many football teams. I root for The Ohio State University, The University of Tennessee, and (::blushing red::) The University of Nebraska. Of all these teams, Ohio State is closest to my heart. I’m a Buckeye by birth, and my husband is a big fan of the scarlet and grey! That in mind, you can see why I would have to root for Arkansas today in the Arkansas vs LSU game.
I don’t know much about Arkansas’ team. I haven’t watch a single game of theirs this season. I actually know more about LSU, since Bo Pellini is their defensive co-ordinator. What I did know is that unranked Arkansas was playing the number one team in the Big 10 Conference and I needed LSU to lose. They lost in triple overtime by a score of 50 to 48. It would have been a great game either way, it was that good - however, it was an even better game because of Arkansas’ win.
Tomorrow Kansas takes on Missouri. These teams are the number two and three teams coming into the weekend. Only Kansas remains undefeated. So, tomorrow is a win-win for OSU fans. No matter which team wins, the other team will be lowered in the rankings. Coupled with the fact that LSU is now officially off the table, this will be a wonderful weekend for OSU fans!
