Football This Weekend - I THINK I Have It Straight In My Mind……..

This morning I was running my football “I thinks” passed hubby to see if I have it right.  So, here’s what I “think” I know about this weekend’s football!!  (Yes, this and $4.68 will get you a grande latte at Starbucks!)

Tennessee (GO VOLS!) meets up with LSU in “Hotlanta” for the SEC Championship bragging rights.  Barry says the winner (which we, of course, KNOW will be UT!) will  get a better Bowl Game also for the win.  Cool, cool.  It seems anymore that there are enough Bowls to go around.

Mizzou meets up with Oklahoma this weekend.  Now while Mizzou did me proud with their win last week, as a fan of The Ohio State University, this week they need to go down!  Oklahoma did defeat Missouri earlier in their only loss of the season, so the potential for a loss is there.  I’ve been informed that, even ranked number 1 on the polls, Mizzou is the underdog going into this game.  However, if  The Ohio State University ends up playing Mizzou, it would be a very good game.

West Virginia takes on Pittsburgh this weekend.  It would be nice to see Pittsburgh win - they are the alma mater of my dearest friend, Alexis.  It would also ensure that the Scarlet and Grey would advance in the polls!  Ohio State really only need one of the two teams to lose for a championship seat, but if both the number 1 and number 2 teams fell this weekend, well I have to say I’d be okay with that.  West Virginia’s only loss this season was to South Florida.  South Florida’s season was not stellar by any means…. I mean, they LOST to Cincinnati!  Pittsburgh’s season has been ABYSMAL, with a 4-7 record.  They beat Cincinnati, but they lost to darn near everyone else!!  So West Virginia and The Ohio State University would also be a great game to watch.

Of course, it is only football.  No matter what the outcome, I’ll be okay with it!  This weekend is going to be a ‘fun-filled, football watching kind of weekend’.  BUT…… as in all things, it will not overcome or overwhelm our praise, worship, thankfulness to, OR glorification of our Lord and Savior!

Jesus is my Superhero.  Once, He died for me.

Looking forward to the weekend,

R
