Psalm 32 - Blessed Is He Who Is Forgiven

Psalm 32:1-7 (NASB)

1. How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! 2. How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit! 3. When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4. For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; my vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. [Selah] 5. I acknowledged my sin to Thee, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; and Thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. 6. Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely in a flood of great waters they shall not reach him. 7. Thou art my hiding place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance. [Selah]

Psalm 32 is one of my favorite pieces of Scripture.  Oh, don’t get me wrong - I love all of God’s word, even the parts that make me uncomfortable in my life.  This one, however, reminds me how wonderful it is when I turn to God with my sin.  How good His forgiveness truly feels.  It also reminds me that I must confess my sin, even though God knows it!  Until I do so, I will not be forgiven.

Here is Sons of Korah performing Psalm 32:1-7 (be patient, the first 10 seconds are ‘goof’ on my part!)  I pray you will enjoy it and be blessed by God’s song.
