The first portion of Mom’s surgery is done and went well. The reversal took about 2 1/2 hours to be completed. The liver specialist and his team have now taken over and expect to need about 2 to 2 1/2 hours for their part.
Mom will go from recovery to ICU for observation. That will probably only be for tonight. Then she should be put in a room. Her hospital stay is expected to be 7 - 10 days.
