I Have Decided To Have Honest Abe’s Attitude About “Smack Talk”!

“If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how — the very best I can. And I mean to keep on doing it to the end. If the end brings me out all right, what is said against me will not amount to anything. If the end brings me out all wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference.”

Ah, Abe. You really got it, didn’t you?

Very interesting quote. What a world he lived in with so much weight on his shoulders.

Lincoln is one of my favorite men of history. He has had many pearls of wisdom documented through the ages.

The Holy Spirit has been working with me on my reaction time to ‘perceived’ injustices. I’m adopting the “Stop, Drop, and Pray” technique - and part of my ability to do that consistantly is remembering that my accountability is to the Lord, and that nothing else matters. That is why this quote [which was in our daily paper] struck a chord with me.

    Thanks for reading, brother!

Dear Robin, you caught the brunt of something that has threatened to overwhelm this world, and I thank you for HAVING
AND SHOWING the ‘REALLY ROBIN’ waves of GRACE that you showed me in your comments! at my arrival here to your site I now have an understanding of the innocence IN YOUR RETURN(S).
It’s ironic that I’ve visited to your page touting Abraham Lincoln’s attitude,I have a copy of his daily devotional be-
side me as I jot.(pg. 65/April 19th)Under the header DUTIES-
PERSONAL;’In Prosperity to be Humble. And I say, through the
grace given unto me,to every man that is among you,not to
think of himself more highly than he ought to think.(Romans,
    13:3)
Thank You,for taking the time to read a ‘bit o’ me mind’,
and taking the time to let GOD.

D’Ellis - I don’t know where this world got off the track of looking at the character of a person, as opposed to their ethnic background. I am just one person, but I am not going to stop living my life as I am called.

I thank you for your kind words - they blessed me largely today!

Jeremy - Great video, thanks for sharing it. I can remember hearing that song when it first came out…. yep, I’m just that old school.

    Have a blessed week everyone!
