At a campaign event in Powder Springs, Georgia, Barack Obama, who does not believe english should be America’s national language, told the crowd that “instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn english, they’ll learn english, you need to make sure your child can speak spanish.” Obama called America’s lack of bilingual speakers “embarrassing,” and said that “we should have every child speaking more than one language.”
