Points To Ponder

I heard Glenn Beck talking about the book “Animal Spirits”, which is a current MUST READ for the Obama administration. This book, basically, talks about how to control – and market – the economy. It is a propagandist look at how to manipulate people and their spending habits, in a nutshell.

So, anyway, Glenn had all this information that I really didn’t get to hear… HEY, I was travelling with my sixteen year old. You have any idea how hard it is to listen to talk radio with a sixteen year old female in the car? It was something about the difference between the 2008 budget and this new budget proposed.

Well, we are really currently on the 2009 budget – which was proposed by George W. Bush. Now the 2009 proposed budget was $3.10 TRILLION dollars.  The Democrats went WILD about this – how irresponsible they were being!!!! And now, Obama has come out with the 2010 proposed budget of $3.60 TRILLION! The Democrats are saying this is soooo necessary!!! Well, Obama’s administration did not prepare for the national backlash of his proposed budget. Seems we redneck, gun-toting, nut-job, God-fearing, Conservatives know a bit more about numbers than he expected.

So he said he was going to trim $100 million from the budget – big number, right? Well, it didn’t fool the people! So, now he is going to trim the budget by $17 billion.

Here’s some plain and simple (straight forward) math for you to digest:

Now I know some “economist” out there is going to whine – “But, you’re not taking XYZ or ABC into consideration!” And that is true. Because I am of the mind that if your math can’t be straight forward there’s an even bigger issue!
