Be sure to note Education Funding (and Defunding) information in the Healthcare Bill..  what is THAT doing in there??

Breitbart.tv » Obama ‘American Agenda’ Flashback: Dems Should Not Pass Healthcare With a 50-Plus-1 Strategy.

Guess it’s all a matter of who’s using it.  Politics as usual!

You don't wanna be standing under THIS!!

From USA Today:

Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank, a strong supporter of the health care legislation, said Brown’s victory means Congress will have to “start over on health care.” He said he will vote against any bill rushed to the floor before Brown can be sworn in.

So, for the love of Pete, put down what you’re drinking!!

And here’s my daily e-mail from POTUS Obama’s fund raising machine: (notice that pesky little “donate” button that our President seems to have a passionate love for!!)

Robin –

On Wednesday night, Senate leadership unveiled their final health reform package. It’s a great bill that accomplishes President Obama’s core goals for reform: provide more security for those who have insurance, guarantee affordable coverage options for those who don’t, and rein in the cost of care for American businesses and families.

And it accomplishes all of this while reducing the deficit by as much as $777 billion over the next 20 years.

Now, we’re in the final sprint toward reform, and the next challenge is already here.

Today, senators are listening carefully to see how constituents react to the bill and how we want them to proceed. So it’s our job to make sure they hear quickly and unmistakably: Move forward!

On Saturday, the Senate faces a close vote on whether or not to begin debate, so it’s critical to weigh in right away. Click here to call Nebraska’s senators now.

Please call:

Sen. Ben Nelson at 202-370-7888
Sen. Mike Johanns at 202-370-7692

(Not your senators? Click here to look yours up.)

Just tell whomever answers the phone where you live and that you support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — and want the Senate to begin discussing it right away.

After you’ve called, click here to tell us how it went:

Many senators have worked tirelessly to get us this far, and they deserve our thanks. But it is crucial that every senator knows that we are counting on them to stand up to the insurance industry and support reform — and that we will be right there standing with them.

We’re getting so close, and your incredible work is a big part of why we’ve been successful so far. Let’s keep it up and get this job done.

Thanks,

Mitch

Senator Ben Nelson - (D) Nebraska

I guess I am no longer pro-life – I am now anti-choice!! And still darn proud of it!!

Dear ACLU Supporter,

The anti-abortion agenda is now in full view. Anti-choice extremists think they have won a massive victory in their attempt to limit access to abortion. Let’s prove them wrong.

As Senate action on health care reform heats up, the reproductive freedom of millions of American women is on the line.

Your senator—Senator Ben Nelson—has a critical role to play in deciding whether or not health care reform will undermine the reproductive rights of women all across the country.

Urge Senator Ben Nelson to reject anti-choice efforts to hijack health care.

As you may know, anti-choice forces in the House—led by Representatives Stupak and Pitts—succeeded in making the House health care bill a vehicle for advancing their agenda.

This isn’t, as its sponsors claim, an attempt to make sure health care legislation maintains the “status quo” when it comes to federal funds not being spent on abortions. It is an effort to dramatically alter the landscape of reproductive rights for women all across the country.

Health care reform should improve women’s health and lives, not interfere with their ability to get the health care they need. But politics and ideology came together in a toxic mix when the House of Representatives added the Stupak-Pitts amendment to the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

We must not let the same thing happen in the Senate.

Urge Senator Ben Nelson to reject anti-choice efforts to hijack health care..

If this amendment is part of the final health care legislation, anyone who participates in the health care exchange will be prohibited from buying a plan that covers abortion care if they receive a federal subsidy, even if they contribute their own private funds to pay part of the premiums.

Please act right now by urging your senator to protect women’s ability to make private health care decisions without government interference.

Thank you so much for acting to protect reproductive freedom.

Sincerely,

Vania

P.S.. Even though the odds seem daunting, I know we can win. The Stupak-Pitts amendment is one of the most dangerous intrusions into women’s lives we’ve ever experienced. But you and I know the American people don’t want the government interfering in their personal lives. Please take action today and tell your friends to do the same.

Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page government takeover of health care :

On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.

Monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan:

On line 16, page 96, section 213, under “Insurance Rating Rules.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account – and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services.

Section 213 describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run plan. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.
